the State pension request made in 1784 on behalf of the two daughters of Henrich, the oldest Elizabeth then only 10 years old. Thereon is listed the other daughter Mary (the only place her name is listed) and the request states "death of _our father 'slain 1777".

Annatje (1136) b. 2-29-1748 (A) (Bi) Newtown, died infancy.

Annatje (1137) b. 1750 (A), (Bi) says b. Dec. 6, 1751.

Mareitje (1144) b. 10-10-1759 (A, Bi) is listed as a communicant of Stone Arabia Lutheran church (G) in 1778. She m. Jost Nellis (1410) who died 2-24-1834. (See ref. in "The old Palatine Church" by Milo Nellis p. 29 and Frothinghams History of Montgomery Co. p. 102, 186. Two children are listed - Joseph I. (1411) and Mary (1412). Joseph I. Nellis (1411) b. 5-23-1787 St. Johnsville d. 9-21-1862, was in war of 1812, m. Magdalena Bellinger (2092) dau. of David, with 8 children (Frothingham). Data furnished by genealogist Marie Lyle , lists the 8 children as - Charles Nellis (4378); Benjamin Nellis (4379) married Dorothy Klock (4380) with 9 children; Joseph Nellis (4381) married with son Aaron (4382); Catherine Nellis (4383) b. 4-16-1813 (G); Aaron Nellis (4384) b. 2-22-1815 (G); Stephen Nellis (4385) b. 1-211818 (G); Abraham Nellis (4386) b. 9-26-1820 (AH) with issue Abraham (5071) and Julia (5072); Horatio Nellis (4387) b. 1827 married 1849 Catherine Sanders (4388) with issue. Mary Nellis (1412) b. 1792 d. about 1805 age 13. Nancy Wagner (1142) b. 11-6-1783 (G) has same birthdate recorded in her parents family bible for (1412).

Elizabeth (1145) b. 7-18-1764 (A, Bi, G) born to Peter Lambmann (G), is listed as a Stone Arabia (G) communicant 1778. She married 1792 per DAR No. 146371 or 1796 per another less probable source Daniel C. Fox (2087), son of Christopher William Fox (4367). Christopher (4367) was born 1744, d. 1820 age 76 (AH). The birthdate of (2087) has been stated to be 1771 per DAR No. 146371 and 1777 per genealogist Col. Bell. However neither 1771 or 1777 seems correct as a son Daniel C. Fox Jr. (4368) wife Margaret Hess (4369), innkeeper, was born 1782 per 1850 census. Daniel C. Fox, Jr. and Margaret Hess bp. son Solomon Fox (6042) b. 2-13-1819 (AH) wit. Peter Lampman (1141) wife Nancy (1142). A more likely date for (2087) without any more proof than the three dates above, is ca 1764. Issue with the possible exception of Daniel Jr. (4368) b. 1782, - Anna (3201) b. 1793 (AJ), Anna (2089) b. 1797 (AJ) sponsors (1138) and Anna Fox, Volkert (4370) b. 1799 who married Margaret Van Valkenburg (4371) b. 1801, d. 1874 with at least one daughter Elizabeth Fox (4372), and Betsy (2169) bp. 1-12-1801 (AJ) d. 1821. Elizabeth (1145) probably died at this last birth. For a long time based on a genealogist Col. Bell's records eleven other children were attributed to this couple but the resulting child birthdate span was 39 years, just unreasonable. Later research including a marriage date of 1801 for Daniel C. Fox and Elizabeth Landman now clearly indicates without exact proof that Daniel C. Fox (2087) married second another Elizabeth Lampman (1143), a niece of his first wife. There is still a question whether Daniel C. Fox, Jr. (4368) is Daniel Christopher or Daniel Clinton. In fact, all of Col. Bells record is suspect from that standpoint since there is a record of a Daniel Christopher Fox, nephew to Daniel Clinton Fox but regardless if one or two men existed, the dates would be parallel and thus the basic reasoning concerning a second marriage would be valid. It would be nice to agree with the DAR marriage date of 1792 rather than ca 1781 since there is no record of births for11 years.

Issue of Henrich Lampman (1170) and Marytje Schmidt (1171).

Nicholas Lampman (1172) b. 1750 (A) m. 12-3-1782 (A) Rebecca Van Shack (1173) with issue Henrich - (1174), Stephen (1246 ), Maria (1175), Elizabeth (1275), Annatje (3132) In 1790 census Nicholas was listed in Hudson, Columbia Co. and in 1787 he was on the assessment rolls for the District of Coxsackie.

Benjamin Lampman (1194) In St. Paul's Schoharie (H) is the record of "Benjamin Lampman born at Triol (Troy, N.Y.) 10-5-1765, son of Hendrick and Maria Lampman", another case of a visiting pastor recording in his church records an event in another area. He married Elizabeth Didrick (1195) daughter of Hendrick Didrick (1978). Issue -Hendrick (1196), Frederich (1197), Pieter (1198), Catrina (1199), Nicholas (1200), and Mary (1201).

Issue of Johann Michael Lantman (1202) and Maria Brouwer (1203)

The family bible of John Michael Lampman (1202) has been found and confirms in large part the data obtained from Church and family records. His marriage to Mary Brewer (1203) is listed 105-1751, one day different. Therecord of children - Elizabeth (1204), Abraham (1206), Cathalyntje (1209) are identical. New data are the birthdate of Jacob (1427) 6-1751, Peter (1436) 8-2-1755, Mary (1441) 8-9-1751, Catherine (1205) b. 2-13-1763 d. 3-23-1763. Eleanor (1208) has the same date and therefore is same as Neeltje (1208). Hannah (1207) has the same date and is therefore the same as Annatje (1207). Henry Lampman (5772) postulated as son is now definite, b. 6-24-1769. Matthew (5035) postulated as son, b. 6-7-1775, is now definite. The bible gives no record of a Stephen Lampman (1967) or a Mical Lampman (5498). From Quebec land records (film 500.62, 500.63) it is clear Harriet Lampman (6616) is sister of John Michael (1202). There is a birth #12 in different handwriting not readable but date is 12-18-1776. Two legal documents filed Stanbridge - one dated 11-4-1799 stated Matthew Lampman (5035) was brother of Abraham (1206). The other dated 11-30-1799 stated Stephen (1967) was brother of Abraham (1206) who was titled attorney for his brothers.

Jacob Lampman (1427) was in Stephentown, N.Y. in 1790, Hoosic in 1800 but by 1813 he and his son Jacob, Jr. (7692) were in Canandaigua Twp, Ontario Co., N.Y., where in the 1820 census he is listed 2-0-0-1-2-0-, 1-1x-0-2-0 and Jacob, Jr. 1-0-0-0-1-0, 1-0-x-1-0-0-. The 1830 census, same place, lists Jacob (1427) as follows: 1M 80/90, 1M 30/40, 1M 15/20, 2M 5/10, 1M under 5, 1F 20/30, 2F under 5 and Jacob, Jr. (7692) 1M 40/50, 1M 30/40, 1M 15/20, 2M 10/15, 1F 30/40. Also, Jacob's son Michael (1432) 1M 50/60, 1M 20/30, 1M 15/20, 1M 10/15, 2F 20/30. The 1830 census also lists Oliver Lampman (7694) 1M 20/30, 1M 15/20, 1F 20/30, 1F 5/10 and Rufus B. Lampman (7695) 1M 20/30, 1M under 5, 1F 30/40, 1F under 5. These last two could be sons of Jacob, Jr. (7692), Michael (1432), or even an Oliver P. Lampman (7693) who appears in the 1850 census, same place, as age 64, no occupation, b. N.Y., wife Hannah age 60.

Stephen Lampman (1967) possible son of (1427) married Hannah Hogle (1968). An article concerning Oneida Co. early settlers says Stephen Lampman married Hannah Hogle and had a family of 10 or 11. It says he was in Rome, N.Y. in 1799, d. 1840 at very old age near the South shore of

Oneida Lake. John Lampman (1969) his son died in West Central, N.Y. ca 1895 aged nearly 102. Pomeroy Jones "Annals and Recollections of Oneida Co. Rome, N.Y. 1851 p. 372 states Stephen Lampman (1967) was among the early settlers prior to 1800. This date is correct and important since somehow several other quotes from "Jones" have had it 1760, an impossibility. The 1800 census Rome, Oneida Co., N.Y. shows Stephen Lampman - 3 males under 10, 1 male 10/15, 1 male 26/45, 1 female under 10, 1 female 26/45. Data from several Lampman decendants list Hannah (1968) as Hogold and give children as John (1969) b. 1793, d. 1895 age 102; Peter (7014), Stephen (1971); Abraham (1972); Jacob (1973); David (1974); Melinda (1975); Hannah (1976); Susan (4290) who married a Showerman; Francis (4291). One of the descendants was Charles Francis Lampman (4292) who obtained data from his father, Francis (4291) and his half brothers Ared (4293) and Stephen (4294). The 1820 census Franklin Co., New York, lists John Lampman and his wife 16-26, son 10. This is possibly (1969). Oliver (7693) is a probable son of Jacob (1427).

Fred Bowman's book "10000 Vital Records from Newspapers" lists Jacob Lampman (1427) age 89, Revolution Soldier, d. 7-5-1834, Canandaigua, N.Y. Also, a Michael Lampman (C556) m. Canandaigua, N.Y. 5-14-1838 Lydia Clapper (C555). Michael could be son of Jacob, Jr. (7692) or Michael's (1432) sons. Michael Lampman (1432) is probably the same as Michael (5498) erroneously listed as probable son of John Michael (1202). Michael (1432) was in the Albany Co. 12th Regiment. Mikel (1432) was an Associate of Stanbridge Twp. #32 on a listed dated 522-1801 for Lot 2 Concession one. He in 1802 was an Associate Sutton, Quebec. Lampman (7036) Thomas states "In 1794 Matthew Lampman from Grand Isle Co. Vermont purchased land near Frelighsburg at the same time his son Abraham settled on a lot next north. Matthew sold his land in 1796. Abraham remained on his for two or three years when he left." A Matthias was a member of a group led by James Wilson who petitioned for land on a new road leading to the river LaTranche in 1793 (U.C. Land Petitions Wl#56) This agrees with the land purchase in 1794. While the records of Matthew (1161) son of Fred (1153) are not complete, there is no record of a son of his named Abraham, and in 1786 he is located in Ontario. The Quebec Gazette for 5-13-1819 lists a Notice of Sale of Property of Abraham Lampman, (probably 5037) of Noyair, due to a suit of one Napier Christa Breh. Matthew Lampman (7036) is the son of John Michael (1202) for Lower Canada Land Petitions (reel C-2493, page 384) reads: Mathew Lampman (7036) in behalf of himself and his father, Michael Lampman (1202), petition for lands in Farnham (P.Q.) dated at Missiquoi Bay November 1, 1796.

(1213). Information from Mr. L.G. Lampman (1734) was consolidated incorrectly in Edition 2 with proved data from church records. He traces the family to Danby, Vt., East Bloomfield, N.Y., Peru, N.Y., Rome, N.Y. and Ohio. He gives Peter's birth as 12-25-1747 (note discrepancy) d. 1832, and Sarah's birth as 4-11-1748, d. 1832. His data incorrectly added Stephen P. (1718) and Lavina (1721) and probably correctly Peter V. (1723), and Sarah (1725) to the writers list of church proved children. He also gives the husbands of (1219, 1448, 1449, 1450, 1451). But (1734)'s family ties back to Peter (1436) and Anna Hogle (1435).

"John Lampman (1210) had daughter Elizabeth (1462) whose only son and child was John Merchant (6816) b. 11-19-1798, whose daughter was Elvira (8126) b. 1823, m. a Hare with son Wallace Hare (8127) b. 1855, who had a daughter, Laura (8128).

The census records of Greenville, N.Y. show varying dates for Wilhelmus (1261) and some of his children especially as compared with the church records.

1850 lists Wilhelmus (1261) age 74 b. 1776, 1855 lists him age 82 b. 1773,1860 lists him age 89 b. 1771.

Note this is only the second Caspar in the John Peter (1011) descent. Mary Rosa (3149) m. Robert Bullis (B542) whose family Bible, published 1816, has survived. The Bible contains the record of Storm Rosa (1536) wife Elizabeth Lampman (3148) written in a different handwriting. The issue of Storm Rosa (1536) agrees with the (C) church record except it does not show a Caspar (3153), b. 1803. Also this Bible records the birthdate of Elizabeth Lampman (3148) as 9-1-1758 and Storm Rosa (1536) as 4-1-1756. The family tradition is that Elizabeth Lampman (3148) was m. 1st to Wilhelm Lampman (1156) and 2nd to Storm Rosa (1536) after Wilhelm was killed. The fact that Elizabeth Lampman (1165) was recorded in (A) as b. 1758 would make this family record correct, i.e. (1165) and (3148) are the same person and there is no information available applying to the Elizabeth (1165).

Elizabetha (1409) b. 1764 (G. Bi) died I1-20-1798 per a family record, (see pg. 40 ahead) married about 17-95 John J. Klock, Jr. (3188) b. 12-8-1771. At one time Miss Marie Lyle in Lampman Installment No. 12 in the St. Johnsville, N.Y. Enquirer and News had the same marriage. However later she had Elizabeth (1409) probably married John Dissling (2086). Mr. W.B. Carden, Mr. Paul Pringle and other genealogists, sources and the "Petries in America" article in the 1-8-1948 issue of the above newspaper all have an Elizabeth Lampman wife of John J. Klock, Jr. with two daughters. Catherine (3189) b. 3-5-1796 married 1818 Urich Bander (3191) and Elizabeth (3190) b. 11-22-1798 married Henry G. Klock (3192). Elizabeth (1409) according to Mr. Carden and Mrs. Laura Clock Williams of Euclid, Ohio died in Montgomery Co., long before John Klock removed in 1836/37 to Klock's Bush, Black Lake, St. Lawrence Co., N.Y. where he and his 3rd wife Nancy Putnam died. No record of Elizabeth Lampman (1409) marriage has been found. The writer agrees with Miss Lyle's first placement. There is no reason to postulate an unlikely age differential marriage. If a Dissling marriage with child born 47 years after Elizabeth's (1409) birth in 1774 in unreasonable, and a Dissling marriage with child born 43 years after Elizabeth's (1143) birth in 1778 is very unlikely, then to tie John Dissling (2086) with the earlier generation Elizabeth (1145) as was done is just absurd.

Peter (1141) b. 9-19-1781 (S, Bi) married Nancy Wagner (1142). He died 1814 and is buried in the family plot on the Lampman farm north of St. Johnsville, N.Y. In 1950 the writer was in touch with Mr. Willis A. Gregar (1152) then of 41 Park Terrace West, New York City, whose great, great grandfather was Peter (1141) and who furnished the following descent and information - Peter Lampman (1141) bp. 10-1-1781 d. 12-21-1824 St. Johnsville, N.Y. m. Nancy (4) Wagner (1142) (George 3, Peter 2, 1). Nancy was born 11-6-1783 Palatine, N.Y. d. 1845. When Peter (1141) died by the limb of a tree falling and killing him instantly, his wife Nancy took her two children, Margaret and Catherine, to live with Charles Wagner. Nancy's son George, then four years old, was taken to the home of George Wagner, brother of Nancy, where he was brought up. The George Wagner home was on theMohawk Turnpike in Nelliston. Issue of Peter (1141) and Nancy (1142) was Benjamin (1391), Betsy (1393), Charles (1395), Nancy (1396), Mary (1397), Peter (1398), Julia (1400), Margaret (1146), George (1401), Catherine (1407). The will of George Wagner (9709) of Palatine, N.Y. probated 2-28-1826, mentions wife Mary and daughter Nancy (1142), wife of Peter Lampman (1141).

Elizabetha (1143) b. 8-4-1778 (G, Bi) sponsor Elizabeth Lampman (1143 or 1145) may have married John P. Dissling as stated in DAR No. 146371. DAR No. 146371 has Elizabeth (1409) daughter of Henry Lampman (1134) married to Daniel Fox (2087) but as genealogist Marie Lyle published, most of the DAR No. 146371 data is in error and the writer agrees. Miss Lyle reversed the DAR No. 146371 Elizabeths and discarded her original conclusion that Elizabeth (1409) was married to John Mock (3188). The writer however, agrees with her original conclusion. For more on this see a bit further on. The writer is of the opinion that Elizabeth (1143) was a partner in a second marriage to Daniel C. Fox (2087) after the death of her aunt. The marriage is recorded in (G) 1801. No other Elizabeth exists that could fit except (1143). There are 11 children credited by Col. Bell to this marriage, two without birthdates which could fill the gap between 1801 and 1805. They are Louisa Catherine (2168) bp. 1817 (AH) d. 1821 (AH) Anna Maria (2170) and Charles (2171) twins bp. 1812 (S); Matheus (2172) bp. 1814 (S); Margaretha (3198) bp. 1810 (S); twin Martili (3199) bp. 1810 (S); Chauncy (3200) bp. 1805 (S); Daniel (4373) married Sarah Churchill (4377); Peter D. (4374); Dewitt C. (4375) b. 1821; Comelia (4376) b. 1819. Again the birth span of 21 years is reasonable but attention must be called to the age span from mothers birth 1778 to 1821, 43 years, not unreasonable but clearly calling for the need for a complete analysis of the Fox family including Col. Bell's data. If there is clearcut evidence of Daniel Clinton and Daniel Christopher Fox, Senior and Junior, then it is quite possible that these Fox descent are not entirely correctly allocated. Again this in no way changes the conclusion that a Daniel C. (Clinton or Christopher) Fox Senior married two Lampman women. The writer's solution to the John P. Dissling (2086) -- Elizabeth Lampman marriage is that this was a first marriage for (1393) with son John (2088) b. 1821 (AH) (wit. 1141, 1142) with second marriage to Daniel Loadwick (1394) in 1824.

Perlia Getman (2113) b. 2-20-1857 (G) and Ellsworth (3213). One of the principle reasons for tieing in the Peter Lampman (1141) descent as has here been done is due to Gregar's (1152) personal information from his mother Elizabeth Stedwell (1150) who lived in Ephratah, N.Y. with her great aunt Catherine (1407) and discussed these family matters with her. Elizabeth (1150) did not personally know her great uncle George Henry (1401) but did know his family in St. Johnsville. This George was b. 1820 as he was 4 in 1824 when his father died.

John Lampman (1447) bp. 4-23-177 (Q) with the grandparents, Johannes Lampman and Sysanna Litcher again sponsors. In 1952 Mr. William F. Lampman (1461) of Weedsport, N.Y. wrote tracing his line back to Peter (1212) and furnished a very considerable amount of data which is incorporated below. He had information furnished by Mrs. Carrie (Crockford) Lampman of Fulton, N.Y., Mr. L.G. Lampman (1734), Mr. Carl H. Thomas of Detroit, Michigan, Edna L. Sanford (1640), Stella Heath Lampman (1609) and many others. All the information is in the tabulation of this branch following. John Lampman (1447) b. 4-23-1777 Gilead-Hoosick, N.Y. d. 1842, lived on a farm between Potter Hill and Boyntonville, N.Y., married Catherine Fredenburg (1452) who d. 1870. In Vosburg's F129C5C54 (P) John (1447) and Cata Lampman had baptised all at once in February 1812 at Cherry Valley, N.Y. Peter, James, Stephen, and William and 5 months later John Hoven (1457), indicating a pioneering family. There is no record of John Hoven (1457) in the William F. Lampman (1461) data so perhaps he died an infant. John Lampman (1447) lies Jacksonville, N.Y., cemetery where the TS states d. 3-10-1842, age 65, 11 mos., Catherine Fredenburg wife (1452) d. 9-25-1870, age 84-6 mos.

The 1855 census of Ancram, Columbia Co., N.Y., lists a Stephen Card (0691) with daughter Sarah, age 6. This Sarah could not be (1724), the wife of Peter V. Lampman (1723).

Peter (1212) had son - Peter Lampman (1723) b. 1798 (per 1880 census Pownal, Bennington, Vt., age 82, b. N.Y. (again the boundary line problem) living in the household of son's Gilbert (5455) and

Myron (5456), Gilbert age 46 b. Vt., wife Jane age 39 b. N.Y. with children - Hattie M. (5457) age 12 b. Vt. and William A. (5458) age 1 b. Vt., Myron (5456) age 36 b. Vt. with daughter Flora E. (5459) age 11 b. Mass. DAR Vermont Vol. 8 lists in a cemetery back in Pownal Center Peter's (1723) daughter Minervah (1783), mother Elsey Lampman d. 7-16-1850 age 22 years - 6 months - 11 days. Then the 1850 census Whitehall, washington Co., N.Y. lists Elizabeth Lampman (6039) head of family age 37 b. N.Y. with children - Mary J. (6611) age 20 b. 1830 N.Y., Eupheme (6612) age 17 b. 1833 N.Y., Jannis (6613) age 13 b. 1837 N.Y. Albert (6614) age 6 b. 1844 N.Y. Note the unusual Roman names. Why Peter is not listed is unknown. Perhaps he was a boatman, went West for years, presumed dead but reappeared in his late years. Also there is a question concerning son Myron (5456). From the census he was Myron Albert, but descent records him as Myron.

In Elmira, New York, Public Library is a manuscript CARD Family Genealogy. It states Eliza (Elsie) Card (C855) dau. of Abel Card (C854) and Waite Eldred (C856) b. 8-29-1803 Pownal, Vermont, m. Peter Lampman (1723) at Hoosick, New York, with issue: Randall (8679), Minerva (1783), d. 1-161850, age 22, at Pownal, Vermont, Gilbert (5455), Albert (6614), Charles (7484), Miron (5456).

It is possible the problem of one of the many not surely tied in Vermont Peter Lampman's is partially solved. In the Oak Hill Cemetery Pownal Vermont, is a Lampman obelisk with inscription: Peter Lampman (1723), d. 10-161886, age 86, Elsie, his wife (C855) d. 12-17-1874, age 72; Jane E. (C871) wife of H.O. Cole (C869) d. 9-1876, age 52; Gilbert Lampman (5455) 2-26-1886, age 62, Myron E. Lampman (5456) d. 9-10-1912, age 69, Jane E. (C871) is surely sister of Gilbert (5455) . It is more possible that Peter Lampman (7822) was son of Peter (1753). Clearly the Gilbert Lampman of the (X80) is not (5455) unless the tombstone was read incorrectly (not likely). Either way, it appears that Mary, Augustus, Charles and Paul are brothers and sister to Gilbert (new tag D39), not wife and children.

The (X50) Pownal, Bennington Co., VT, clears up a lot, listing Peter Lampman (1723) age 50, b. N.Y., wife Elsie, age 47, children; Albert (6614) age 18; Charles (7484) age 14; Myron E. (5456) age 7. This removes any connection of Peter (1723) with the Elizabeth (6039) head of family in Whitehall, N.Y. in 1850. Peter Lankman (1723) age 62, b. N.Y. (X60) Pownal Center, Vermont, wife Elcy, age 57, b. Vt. Peter Lampman (1723) age 73 farmer, b. N.Y. (X70) Pownal, Bennington Co., Vermont, wife Elsie, age 68 b. Vt., child; Gilbert (5455) age 35, b. Vt., Jane (A163) age 31, b. N.Y.

The Albert E. Lampman in the 1880 Directory Bennington, Vt. is probably (6614) Albert Lampman (6614) and Mariah Munson, 2nd wife, (B294) had Lenora Elvira (B295) b. 1-9-1869 Pownal, Vermont. Albert E. Lampman (6614) and Hannah Maria who died in 1864 recorded birth of Minerva J. (0163) b. 10-24-1862 Pownal, VT. and Serena (A89) (X19) Grand Rapids, Michigan, Albert (6614) b. It names Philo (5930) and wife who drove him "Over to Phoenix where Aunt Emeline's family of Benedict's lived Elmer, and Mate Smith the other son was in Nashville 12 miles from Hastings, Mich Steven Benedict". The sentence from Elmer on is not quite understood, particularly whether Steven Benedict is husband or son of Emeline (1574) or whether Elmer and Mate Smith were

Benedicts or Lampmans. The letter also mentions "Bertha Lampman (6719), who married Marvin Miller (1688) as granddaughter of Peter Lampman who had two sons Willis (4360) and Bart (5932) and a daughter. Willis had children at the time I was East with father and mother". Obviously Peter in this sentence should be Philo (5930) and Bertha (6719) was probably daughter of Willis (4360). The word "either" preceded the words "granddaughter of Peter Lampman" but the thought and the sentence was not completed. Willis and Bart were sons of Philo and birthdate of Bertha ca 1895-1900 leaves no doubt. (X19) Granby, Oswego Co., N.Y., lists Willis L.
